Outside My Window... I believe that bright light stinging my eyes is called THE SUN. Welcome back old friend. I hope you stick around for awhile!
I am thinking... …of all things Valentine’s day. Crafts and treats for the family and my honey.
I am thankful for... … the new comforter set and bonus down blanket we received unexpectedly this Christmas. I officially have the coziest bed ever!
From the kitchen… Tonight’s dinner will be homemade pizza and salad… a family favorite. Who would have thought that living in an area where there is an authentic Italian pizza place on literally every corner that this non-Italian girl could conjure up a pizza recipe to satisfy the family without breaking the budget?
I am wearing... A comfy purple tweedish sweater and jeans… a favorite of mine this winter.
I am creating... A re-vamping of the homeschool plan. We definitely need more planning and scheduling to stay on track and not be finishing school in July! Did I mention how I despise planning and scheduling?
I am going... On a top-secret shopping trip with my #2 daughter. I cannot divulge details publicly, but there is something on the horizon!
I am reading... Books on organizing. When will I ever get it?
I am hoping... Our World Youth Day Fundraising finds its stride soon and we can defray most of our costs. It seems everybody and his brother is raising funds for something or another. Personally, I know that a youth pilgrimage to see the Pope in Spain with thousands of youth from around the world is worthwhile… but so are so many other good causes. It’s hard to ask for money to send my kids to Spain when the next guy needs money for a roof over his head or catastrophic medical care for his child. So we trudge on through the process and hope against hope that that we can chip away at the expense and that in the end our children come back holier, more grounded in their faith and full of stories and memories that will last a lifetime.
I am hearing... The scratching of pencil points on math books. It’s a lovely sound, especially when not accompanied by whining voices.
Around the house... I would love to get the house tidied from top to bottom before the weekend.
One of my favorite things... That first, hot steaming cup of coffee at 6:30 in the morning while all is still pretty quiet around here.
A Few Plans for the Rest of The Week… Driving to choir practice; ballet classes; basketball games; Thursday night and hubby’s band practice in the living room; a little girl sleepover Saturday night with games and crafts if Hannah has her way; Lifeteen Mass Sunday night; and then watching the one football game I watch every year with the family.
Here is picture thought I am sharing:
